Linette Dodson, PhD, RD, LD, SNS, FAND
State School Nutrition Director @Georgia Department of Education
Linette Dodson is the Georgia State School Nutrition Director. She serves as the state agency advisor to the Georgia School Nutrition Association Executive Committee and also serves on the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics School Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group’s Advocacy Committee. “School Nutrition is my passion and it is my honor to serve at the Georgia Department of Education as the School Nutrition Director. Fueling Georgia’s Future with quality school meals is the state agency’s focus in offering support to our local Georgia districts.” Prior to joining the GA Dept of Ed, she served as the Director of School Nutrition for Carrollton City Schools in Carrollton, Georgia for 18 ½ years. Linette completed her PhD in Foodservice and Hospitality Management from Iowa State University, where her research focused on registered dietitians in school nutrition leadership roles. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Alabama, and bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University.
Kantrell Brown
Executive Director @School Nutrition Department, Henry County Schools
Kantrell Brown is the Executive Director of School Nutrition with Henry County Schools in McDonough, GA. She also serves on the Georgia Department of Education Directors’ Council and is an active member of the Henry County School Nutrition Association, Georgia School Nutrition Association and has presented at several national SNA Conferences Prior to her current position, she served as the Assistant Director of School Nutrition with Henry County Schools for three years. Her career with the district began as the Nutrition Specialist for seven years. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Food Science from Georgia Southern University and a Master of Science Degree in Management from Troy University. She also completed the Dietetic Internship Program with the Georgia Department of Public Health. Kantrell was also an online Nutrition Science instructor with the University of Phoenix for ten years.
Diane Golzynski, PhD, RD
State Child Nutrition Director @Michigan Department of Education
Dr. Golzynski is the Director of the Office of Health and Nutrition Services and the State Child Nutrition Director at the Michigan Department of Education. She is responsible for the USDA child nutrition programs, the USDA Commodity household programs, and the School Health and Safety Programs.
Jill Riggs
Food Service Director @Penn Harris Madison School Corp., Indiana
Jill Riggs is the current SNA Mideast Regional Director and a Past President of the Indiana School Nutrition Association. Jill has been the Director of Food Service for Penn Harris Madison Schools in Mishawaka Indiana for 20 years. Her mid-size district encompasses farmland, subdivisions and city for a unique combination of students. Jill’s passion is training and learning. Her goal with SNA is helping the Mideast Region to grow and share professional development opportunities for our members. Before joining school foodservice, she worked in all aspects of university food service at Notre Dame University. She also held the position of Department Head for Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism at Davenport University. Jill believes that the strength in school food service lies in the people we attract and train to carry out the mission of providing quality food. She also loves to work with students on nutrition choices and cooking whole foods.
Teresa “TJ” Goodsell, MPA, SNS
Child Nutrition Coordinator @Idaho State Department of Education
Teresa “TJ” Goodsell is a Child Nutrition Coordinator for the Idaho State Department of Education. Her efforts include the promotion and integration of USDA Foods into school meals through the USDA Foods program. Additionally, she works with the USDA Child Nutrition Programs (CNP) to review schools that participate in the School Meals Programs and conducts training for school food service staff. TJ has eleven years of experience in Child Nutrition, all with the State agency. As a graduate of Boise State University, she enthusiastically supports college football – GO BRONCOS! TJ is an engaged member of the American Commodities Distribution Association (ACDA) and has served in various capacities for the association.
